About Amy

Amy Elkins Dickerson is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Connecticut, a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor™ and a CT Credentialed TF-CBT Clinician. She is the owner of AED Psychotherapy, LLC, a private practice in New Canaan, CT. Amy earned a Master of Mental Health Counseling degree from Teachers College, Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Arts in Therapy and Psychology from Russell Sage College. She believes strongly that it is the therapeutic relationship that heals and works hard to foster a safe, warm, accepting environment with each client so that they feel seen, heard, validated and supported.
